There is an abundance of things to do at Freycinet Lodge, including guest activities, nearby tours and adventurous exploration.

Freycinet National Park is a mecca for bushwalking – take a short stroll, or half- or full-day walk to discover the area’s forests, beaches, bays and mountains. 

Wineglass Bay Cruises

Take in the stunning beauty of the Freycinet Peninsula and Wineglass Bay aboard the Schouten Passage II, a 150-seat eco-catamaran. The vessel will stop and allow you to view granite cliffs and see wildlife up close while crew provide commentary on wildlife, features and history. Enjoy a delicious Ploughman's lunch of fresh local produce and cool climate wines. The Wineglass Bay Cruise runs daily Sept - May. Winter schedule includes Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday June - July; Tuesday and Thursday in August. Bookings available through Freycinet Lodge reception.

Freycinet Walking Tour

Departing from the Lodge, enjoy a 5.5 hour educational and immersive guided walk to some of the park’s most loved destinations, including Wineglass Bay and Hazards Beach. Leaving only your footprints, you’ll learn of the unique animals that call this special place home and the history behind its gorgeous shores and pink granite peaks. Your journey is completed with a Freycinet Aqua Taxi trip back to the Lodge. A scrumptious picnic lunch is included.

Freycinet Aqua Taxi

The fastest way to Wineglass Bay. Jump aboard the Aqua Taxi for a unique way to see the peninsula. Departing from the Lodge jetty, our skippers will deliver you right into the heart of the park. No crowds and no mountains to hike over. If your destination is Wineglass Bay, the taxi will drop you at Hazards Beach. For there, it is a short, flat 30 min walk across to Wineglass Bay. To make your experience unforgettable, add the Seafood Indulgence package for a gourmet experience on a secluded beach. Bookable through reception.

Freycinet Adventures Sea Kayaking

Sea kayaking the coastline of Freycinet National Park is one of Tasmania's unforgettable natural experiences. Explore secluded coves, paddling beneath the pink granite mountains and over some of the clearest waters you'll ever see. This three-hour tour is bookable via Freycinet Lodge reception.
