Yes, a credit card surcharge will be applied to all credit card purchases at a rate of 1.14% for Visa & Mastercard, and 1.6% for American Express, JCB & Union Pay. 

Yes, Freycinet Lodge offers a discount on accomodations to auto club members, please refer to your auto club member benefits to find out how to access your discount. This discount is also offered at Cradle Mountain Hotel and Strahan Village.

You will be required to display your membership card on check in. The name on the reservation must match the name on the membership. You can book up to 5 rooms per reservation with your membership.

We will work with each guest on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your booking.

You must be at least 18 years of age to book accommodation at Freycinet Lodge.

After selecting your dates of stay, you will see a button towards the top of the page that says ‘add more rooms to booking’. Simply click on this and then select ‘add room’. The system will then prompt you to select the dates of stay and room type. You can navigate between rooms by selecting ‘manage rooms’ near the top left of the page.

Late check-outs are subject to availability and must be organised at time of booking.

Check-in time is from 2pm and check-out time is 10am or before.

If you need to modify your booking, please refer to your pre-arrival email and click on the 'Modify booking' button. 

Yes, you are welcome to dine at Richardson’s Bistro at any time with no reservation required. You are also welcome to dine at The Bay Restaurant and we strongly recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.

You're welcome to access the balcony at any time and drinks can be purchased from Hazards Bar. We recommend planning to take a few minutes to enjoy the sunset from the balcony as it is a wonderful sight.

Breakfast is served daily in our restaurant within the Lodge, overlooking Great Oyster Bay.

If you would like to dine in The Bay Restaurant, we recommend that you book at the time of booking your accommodation. You can do this by speaking with our reception team. Our other dining option is Richardson’s Bistro, which is open daily and does not require a booking. Dress code for The Bay Restaurant is smart-casual.

We offer complimentary WiFi to all visitors in our rooms and main building. Simply ask at reception and we'll be happy to provide you with the password.

Yes! We have a Tesla charging station in our guest car park that is compatible with Teslas and other electric vehicles. Please contact Freycinet Lodge reception prior to your arrival to check availability.

Yes, our premium room types are equipped with a mini bar that includes a selection of soft drinks, Tasmanian wines, beers and snacks. Please note one room Cabins and Family Cabins do not include a mini bar. 

Yes, we have a guest laundry on site for in house guests.

All rooms have a small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Our Family Cabins are equipped with a microwave, toaster and stove top, as well as basic cutlery and crockery. Kitchen kits with additional pots, pans and utensils are available.  Please advise in advance if you will need one of these in your Family Cabin.

Yes, all of our rooms have a hairdryer in the ensuite bathroom.

Yes. We have two One Room Cabins that offer wheelchair access, as well as our Lodge King, which has extensive accessibility features.

The Lodge does not have a club lounge, gym or swimming pool. We do however have direct access to Richardsons Beach and some of the most amazing walking tracks in Tasmania!

No, there is no taxi at Coles Bay.

We have a guest car park on the right of the main building and you will be given a designated car park near your accommodation at the time of check in.

Tasmania has two major airports, one in Hobart and one in Launceston. The Launceston Airport is the closest major airport and is approx. a 2 hour drive from the Lodge. The Hobart Airport is approx. a 2.5 hour drive from the Lodge. There is also a small airstrip at Friendly Beaches. For more information on transport options click here.

You will need to drive 10 minutes to the Wineglass Bay trailhead car park and walk for approximately 45 minutes up to the lookout. We recommend you take sunscreen, insect repellent and water as there is no water source within the Freycinet National Park.

Yes, you will require a Tasmanian National Parks pass (entry permit) if you are planning on staying overnight at Freycinet Lodge, as we are located within Freycinet National Park. If you are planning on visiting Freycinet Lodge for the day only, a pass is not required.

At Freycinet Lodge's reception, we can provide you with a 24-hour vehicle day pass for $47.70 or an 8-week vehicle holiday pass for $95.50.

Wineglass Bay Cruises takes you to into Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Aqua Taxi is the fastest option to step foot onto the Wineglass Bay beach, with a 25 minute boat ride to Hazards Beach and a 30 minute walk.

The Freycinet Walking Tour departs from Freycinet Lodge and is a fully guided walk that shows you some of the spectacular highlights of the Freycinet Peninsula. Click here for more information.

Telstra is the main network used across Tasmania and is the only one that works consistently in regional areas like Freycinet National Park. If you need a phone and your mobile isn't working, please talk to us at reception and we can assist.

Yes! Freycinet Lodge is a superb destination for weddings, family reunions, group gatherings and events. You can find more information about weddings at the Lodge here.

All of our accommodation consists of rooms, cabins and pavilions scattered throughout the beautiful wilderness of the National Park. We have 70 rooms in total, some of which have water views and some have forest views.

Reception is the big building on your right as you come down our driveway. There is 15-minute parking outside reception for visitors or guests who are checking in.

Our reception is open daily from 7.00am until 9pm. If you are planning on arriving after reception hours, please contact us via phone or email to arrange a late check in.

Yes! Freycinet Lodge is very child friendly with cots, highchairs, DVD hire and all the board games you want during your holidays! We enjoy direct beach access to Richardsons Beach and have kids menus in both restaurants.

Freycinet Lodge is a great place to visit at any time of year. The park is open all year round and offers a variety of activities for all weather conditions. For more information on things to do, click here.

Some rooms have water views and some have forest views.

Freycinet Lodge sits within the Freycinet National Park and therefore no pets are allowed on-site at any time.
