Freycinet Lodge is located within the stunning Freycinet National Park, home to some of Tasmania’s most spectacular walking tracks, taking in granite peaks and sandy beaches, none more famous than Wineglass Bay.

Accessing some of the secluded beaches of the Freycinet Peninsula is now easier than ever, with the Freycinet Aqua Taxi. The Freycinet Aqua Taxi offers a service directly from Freycinet Lodge’s jetty to Hazards Beach and other superb beach locations.

Join us at Freycinet Lodge for a coffee overlooking Great Oyster Bay, before boarding the 7.2 metre shark cat at the Lodge jetty and cruising to Hazards Beach, Cooks Beach or Crockett’s Bay.  If you’re keen to stretch your legs on the trails but want to walk only one way, or simply set foot on Wineglass Bay Beach after walking the short distance from Hazards Beach, this is the perfect option for you.

The Freycinet Aqua Taxi drops you at your chosen destination by beaching to allow you to step ashore to start your walk. Let our chefs at Freycinet Lodge prepare a beach picnic for you to enjoy or perhaps grab a few snacks for the trails from Providore Wineglass.

On returning to Freycinet Lodge, soak up the views and share stories of the day over a bite to eat and a drink in Richardson’s Bistro or the Hazards Bar & Lounge.

The Freycinet Aqua Taxi can be booked via reception at Freycinet Lodge. Please feel free to ask our team about making your trip extra special with a picnic for the trail or a table overlooking the view on your return.

Fares start at $30 per person* one-way.
